Tis the Season...

I have been so busy the past few days. I worked and then had my mother and stepfather here yesterday. My mother and I went out to get stocking stuffers and some Christmas gifts for Hannah. Her Santa wish list has been fulfilled.
She asked Santa for:
movies
puzzles
books
coloring books
cars
Skittles

So her list wasn't too tough. We went and picked it all up yesterday. Now we just have a few more things to get when I get paid this week. Jim and I wrapped it all yesterday while Hannah was napping and stashed it in the closet. My mother even got her (to give from Santa) a "clean smile set". It's Disney princess and it's too cute. It's a set of 2 toothbrushes, a rinse cup (so tiny!), and a holder for it all to sit in. She even got her toothpaste that's Disney princess, to match. She's going to be so excited! I can't wait for Christmas morning! Her first 2 Christmas' were fun, but this year she is really into it. She really can't wait to open presents! I can't wait for her to open presents either! I love the look on her sweet little face when she gets "surprises". Of course, I will be posting pictures after Christmas. This Wednesday we are going over to our friends house to celebrate with them. So, I will post pics from that. Hannah is so lucky. She gets to celebrate 4 times! Once with our friends, once with my in-laws, once with us, and then with my family. She is going to have so many presents this year! Our family and friends all know that we have had a very rough year financially so they are all going all out with gifts for her (to make sure that she has a good holiday). It breaks my heart that we can't do more for her, but luckily she's at an age where she really won't know the difference.
Anyway, enough rambling on for now.
I hope everyone is safe warm today. May you not get buried in snow lilke we are. We were supposed to get 6-8 inches of snow today. So far we have about ten and the storm is supposed to continue through to tomorrow morning. Winter came in hard this year, I hope that it means that spring will come early!
Well, hope everyone has a good night!
Happy Holidays to you all!

Awesome new Collaborative kit...

There is a new HUGE collaborative kit out there, "Christmas Around the World". Over 60 designers went in on it. Here's the link to a website that has all of the previews and links to get it all:
http://christmasaroundtheworldkit.blogspot.com/
There is something in there for everyone (who celebrates Christmas). It's only available until until December 16th, so hurry. It's worth the time to check it out.
Well, that's it for today. Nothing else exciting in my world. "Talk" to you all soon.

Check out a new site...

You need to go check out a new website (online store). It's called sterling pear. It has some awesome Christmas decor. Go check out Derekm's blog for the link and a code to get 10 0/0 off your purchase. There's a link to Derekm on the left. This store belongs to his cousin, so he's trying to help them out.
Oh, we took the side off of Hannah's crib today. We decided it was time, since she has been climbing out of it for the past week. So, now she has a "big girl bed". Right now I'm in the midst of doing battle to keep her in it. While we were putting on the safety rails she couldn't stay out of it. Now we can't keep her in it! The trials and tribulations of parenthood! I know it's just the beginning, too. lol
Anyway, that's all for now. That's all that's exciting in my life today. "Talk" to you again soon.

Second Layout...Hannah and Daddy working on snow fort

These pictures were taken on December 4th. Daddy (Jim) was teaching Hannah how to pack the snow into the pail to make "blocks" for a snow fort. This is my second Digital Layout. I haven't tried doing a page on my own, yet. This is another quick page. This one is from called "Let it Snow" from JessicaD. Thank you Jessica for the awesome quick page! I couldn't figure out how to turn the pictures to fit in the spots, but I like the way it looks anyway. Maybe my next layout will be one I put together. (Maybe, LOL)
Well, that's all for now. "Talk" to you later.

My First Digital Scrapbook Layout

I just finished this layout. I'm so proud of myself! Anyone who knows me knows that I am definately not good with computers. So, this is a major accomplishment for me! This was a QuickPage from Derekmdesigns. Thank you Derek for your help!
Well, that's all for tonight. "Talk" to you soon.

We went out to play in the snow yesterday. Hannah had never really played in it before. She had so much fun! That's her and Jim (Daddy) working together to build a snow fort. She was smiling nearly the entire time we were out there. We got about 8-10 inches of snow. When we were first walking in it she wasn't so sure about it. Once she got playing though we had a hard time stopping her! She has had a cold since November 23rd, so we only stayed out for an hour. She can't wait to go out in it again. That's all she talked about all night. "Awesome play in the snow". She said it over and over all through dinner and again at bedtime! She really wanted to build a snowman, but the snow wasn't sticky enough to hold together for it.
On another note, I had to apologize to a blogger today. I went, yesterday, to OScrapmomO's blog and downloaded a kit. When it was finished I thanked her and made a simple (or so I thought) request for a hockey kit. She then got flooded with requests. She even did a blog response to it asking people if there were any other requests. I feel really bad about causing such a stir. If you read this OScrapmomO, again I'm sorry.
Well, I need to get going for now. "Talk" to you all again soon.
By the way, if anyone reads this blog...could you please leave a comment? Even if it's just a hello?! I'd like to know that I'm not talking to myself! LOL Thanks.

Let it snow...

This is what it looked like out of our front door around 3:30 this afternoon. We got hit hard with this snowfall. We usually only see about 3-4 inches per snow storm. It's 5 o'clock now and it's still snowing. At noon we already had over 4 inches. We'll probably get at least 8-10 before it's done. We're just staying inside where it's warm. I hope you are all safe and warm tonight.

Here's a picture of Hannah decorating the Christmas tree. She, of course, put most ornaments at the bottom. She clustered like ornaments together, too. Oh well, she tried to help and this was her first time helping with it. She had so much fun!

AWESOME NEW HOLIDAY KIT...

I went to DerekMdesign today. He and a bunch of other talented designers went in together to make an awesome new kit. It is in many different downloads at many different blogs, but it is worth the time! It's called "One Night in Bethlhem". It's amazing to see how each designer came up with a different take on the same theme! They're all so wonderful! Derek has all of the download sites available on his blog. Well, that's all for tonight. Maybe I'll post again tomorrow. Goodnight to all! May you be safe if you're in the path of a major storm (like I am).

Winter is definately coming...

Here in New England you can be assured of just one thing...the weather is very unpredictable! It was near 50 degrees (F) just a few days ago. Today it's 19 degrees with high winds leaving it feeling more like 0 degrees. If we hadn't had to go out today we definately wouldn't have! Poor Hannah was wrapped in one of my scarves to protect her face! This thing is like 8 feet long. It was wrapped around her neck about 5 times and once around her face and there were still "tails" of it hanging that were close to 2 feet each! She could barely move with all of the layers she had on. Of course, she is going through a phase right now where she refuses to let you take off her hat or coat. So, she was bundled like this all through the store! We let her stay bundled because it's easier than hearing her scream and creating a HUGE scene in the middle of a store. Anyway, hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying their weekend. May you find some awesome freebies this weekend! Happy Holidays to you all!

The world is in upheaval...

I'm sitting here watching/listening to the local news (special report). There is something happening in the next town over from me that will be on the national news tonight. A man who claims to be wearing a bomb has been in one of the Hilary Clinton Campaign offices. He had been holding hostages. New Hampshire is usually only in the news for voting reasons. Wow, what a crazy time we are living in!
Anyway, on to happier things. I just wanted to post a photo of Hannah with Santa. She looked so cute and tiny.

New to this so please be patient with me....

I am new to this whole "blog" thing. I have been reading other peoples blogs for quite some time and yesterday I decided to give it a try. I figured that this is a good way to get to know people with similar interests and talk about scrapping or children or whatever. Hubby has just told me that he's working on setting up a web page all my own....I'm petrified! This is just a blog now he wants a website for me! He's moving me into the new millenium way to quick for one week! LOL! Anyway, check back as often as you like. I'll be around!
